Pilot Training – AAAG Leadership Development Programme

The African Association of Accountants General (AAAG), in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), is organising the AAAG–CIPFA Leadership Excellence Workshop, a strategic leadership development programme designed to strengthen the capacity of current and aspiring Accountants General and senior public sector finance professionals. The workshop aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide effective leadership, drive public financial management reforms, improve institutional performance, and support better governance across Africa. The inaugural three-day pilot workshop will be hosted in Arusha, Tanzania, from 14–16 October 2026, bringing together senior public sector leaders to share experiences, build leadership capabilities, and explore innovative approaches to public sector transformation. Through the AAAG–CIPFA collaboration, the programme seeks to develop a sustainable pan-African leadership platform that strengthens public finance institutions and supports the future growth of effective, accountable, and strategic public sector leadership across the continent.
